I’m Robbie Turnbull, a planting-focused garden designer based in Bromley with a strong practical horticultural background and a particular interest in naturalistic planting, seasonal structure, and long-term garden development.
My interest in gardens began at a young age through hands-on gardening and a growing fascination with plants, bulbs, and the changing character of gardens throughout the seasons. Alongside RHS training and professional garden design studies, I’ve worked closely with established garden designers while actively maintaining gardens year-round.
I maintain and observe gardens throughout the seasons, which directly informs how I design — helping create gardens that mature beautifully over time rather than relying on short-term impact. Inspired by layered planting, Japanese maples, seasonal succession, and thoughtful renovation, I create refined gardens designed for long-term beauty, atmosphere, and enjoyment.
