The brief
Snowdrop to Summer is a curated bulb collection designed to create a garden that evolves naturally from late winter through to summer. Rather than selecting bulbs individually, each variety is considered as part of a wider planting scheme, with a focus on flowering succession, colour, height and form.
The planting
The season begins with snowdrops and crocuses, followed by layers of anemones, narcissi, fritillaries and tulips, before camassias and alliums carry the display into early summer.
The palette develops with the season, moving from clean whites and soft pinks into lavender, rich purple and dark maroon, allowing the bulbs to complement and emerge naturally through existing planting.
Design approach
The collection treats bulbs as an integral layer of garden design rather than simply a burst of spring colour. Varieties are selected to overlap and succeed one another, creating changing combinations and extending interest over several months.
